Google Analytics

Like millions of other website owners, I use Google Analytics on BeNextBrand Google Analytics is a piece of software that grabs data about my visitors (you). It’s something like an advanced server log.

What does Google Analytics record?

-What website you came from to get here.
-How long you stay for.
-What kind of computer you’re using. And quite a bit more.

What do I do with your data?

The tracking information allows me to better understand the kind of people who come to my site and what content they’re reading. This allows me to make better decisions about design and writing. Occasionally, I will compile aggregate statistics about the number of visitors this site receives and browsers being used. No personally identifying data is included in this type of reporting. All of my activity falls within the bounds of the Google Analytics Terms of Service.

Google Adsense

Some of the ads may be served by Google. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to Users based on their visit to our Site and other sites on the Internet. DART uses “non personally identifiable information” and does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, etc. You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy at https://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html

Disclosure Policy

To be inline with the FTC blog disclosure policy, I want to let you know that I do occasionally write about great products or services that I am an affiliate of.  As an affiliate, I receive a commission for each sale or lead.

  • My blog content drives the primary source of my income, and I have the right to promote products/services at my discretion as long as I clearly state above the fold that the blog contains affiliate links.
  • In addition to the disclosure statement, I also place an asterisk next to each link that is an affiliate link.
  • I focus on promoting products and services that I truly believe will help my readers.
  • I will always give my personal opinion of the product or service, and I will never be influenced by the affiliate to use language that I do not truly believe.
